I think this and the other Calmer Easier Happier Parenting book I had read part of from the library are such amazing parenting tools that when I saw she made one for boys specifically I knew we needed to just buy it. I'd recommend buying vs. borrowing from Library because most of the steps to implement take some time to implement properly before you build onto the next step...and even renewing over and over again, you will need the book longer than just to borrow so I totally recommend buying it. Great insights and really simple, easy to follow ideas that you will wonder 'why didn't I just automatically do that before?!?!' but will really help improve your day to day life. Definitely one to keep on your home library shelf!

I don't know how this book isn't more popular! I have this on audiobook and I liked it so much that I also purchased it for my boyfriend who also has two sons (I have one).It's easy to understand, not long-winded (like so many of these books are, and it's full of advice that explains how do apply the techniques.I've already started seeing a difference. The descriptive praise is key and also get close to the boys (proximically) when you want them to do something. Yes, it takes more time initially versus yelling across the room, but it saves time, in the long run, b/c they actually listen to you and understand that you are serious.I can't recommend this book enough!
I have read and researched many parenting books. This book by far is the most helpful. It is incredibly practical. It also feels like the author knows the typical flashpoints
